An all-around successful event: our first-ever Cyber Security Roundtable

Premiere at the Microsoft Germany office in Cologne: On January 30th, our first Cyber Security Roundtable took place. Co-hosted with Microsoft, the event was designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the latest trends and challenges in cyber security, as well as actionable insights for their organizations’ security posture. But that’s far from all: We also wanted to provide our participants with a platform for open discussion and networking. Let’s take a quick look back at this unique and exclusive event – and four intense hours focused on cyber security.

What was on the agenda?

André Lutermann, Alexander Benoit, Timo Brunner, and Florian Biermaier shared their latest experiences and insights with all participants in several sessions:

  • The first panel was a follow-up to our webinar and focused on the latest Microsoft Digital Defense Report (MDDR). How should organizations respond to the growing and ever-changing threat landscape? Which of the findings from the MDDR do we see in our daily practice at water? And what do current developments mean for the future?
  • The last question brought us to the next topic of the roundtable: Microsoft Copilot for Security, Microsoft’s security solution that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence. And since AI is one of the hottest trends in the IT industry, together we explored the strengths and opportunities of this groundbreaking technology.
  • In another session, we went a step further. And showed how we at water are putting the capabilities of Microsoft Copilot for Security to work by integrating AI and automation into our workflows.

To be continued!

Between the panels, we made sure to leave time for questions and discussion. Participants were also able to bring up issues from their day-to-day work. As a result, we covered a lot of exciting topics during the four hours – and we look forward to exploring some of them in more detail in the future.

That’s why we can give you a sneak peek here: The 1st Cyber Security Roundtable won’t be the last. Stay tuned for edition number two.

Above all, we were pleased with the positive feedback we received after the event, for example from Tobias Gockel, Director Infrastructure Services at DKV Mobility:

“I found the transparency with which you showed us the topics you are working on both internally and with Microsoft, as well as the progress that can be made by using Microsoft Copilot for Security, to be particularly valuable.”

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests for attending. It’s really great to know that you enjoyed the first Cyber Security Roundtable as much as we did.
